Handmade blogs

If you’re like me, you can’t get enough of things handmade. And what better way is there to connect than to read handmade blogs? They are so wonderfully personal and at the same time inspiring and informative. Were it not for real life and things that need doing, I could easily lose a day reading away…so pull up a chair, I though I’d share a few of my faves.

I’ve been following this one for quite some time and it is super packed with great handmade business advice and opportunities for handmade sellers. It’s also great, because articles from lots of different businesses are run, so it gives you lots of different perspectives. Handmadeology.com

This is an oldie, but a goodie too! Art Bead Scene

Been following this one for years, you may have noticed it on my blog roll. Imagine my surprise a couple of months ago, when my etsy site began to receive referrals from this blog….turns out the writer had received one of my birds as a gift over Christmas and wrote about what she had created with it! See that post here: Memory jewellery

This is another very special blog…Melissa does the best job of anyone of making her blog personal AND informative. She shares inspiring, heartwarming stories from her family’s life while somehow also finding the time to share a wealth of information about tools and techniques. KCJewelBox

And here’s one I’ve just recently discovered and the inspiration for this post: Pretty Things Blog

She is currently running a give away  for an awesome set of letter stamps by Impress Art from PJ Tool …you can read the details an enter here… Win a set of stamps

This look like another one I’m going to enjoy ‘getting to know’!

* Thanks to Bene Brown for the inspiring image at the beginning of this post about authenticity…this is definitely a post worth reading, too!
